Conversation With Me
By Dinyo

I am me
But who is "Me"?
And who are "You"?
A stranger, my echo, or my thought?
You claim you are me
I find that hard to believe
You look almost like me,
But the face is slightly different in the mirror.
You are;
A shifting shadow, never quite right
A fleeting trace of who I might be
Yet never the whole of what I see
Still, when I stare a little longer
Focus sharper, Heartbeat stronger,
I glimpse a flicker, faint but true
A hidden thread that ties me to you.
You say that because you don´t know me
You never paused to see me.
I cannot blame you,
I have lingered deep within you
Beneath the noise, behind the din,
Waiting for you to look within.
Search past the surface
Past the disguise
Dive beneath the tide of lies
There you will find me
Whispering quietly
I am me
I am you
We are one.
